I am Tirth Patel a final year BBA student from Ahmedabad, Currently I am doing BBA with finance as my specialization. Since early 2021, I have been actively building my understanding of finance by using public resources to understand global macroeconomic environment and market sentiments.
Over next 2-3 years, my aim is to build career as global market risk analyst, focusing on managing the risk exposure of client’s portfolio to global market’s risk. Over long run I aspire to manage investment fund focused on ESG investing. CFA program's curriculum, with its focus on economics, portfolio management, makes it an ideal qualification for me to pursue.
Currently, my family’s monthly income is ₹40,000, which supports 4 members. A major part of this is going towards me and my elder sister’s education. The total cost for CFA is significantly high compared to our income. Without scholarship I will have to delay my CFA attempt by couple of years, which will become a major setback for my career growth.
I have started my preparing for CFA level 1 attempt with a prep provider, Currently I am dedicating 14 hours a week towards my CFA exam, alongside this I am also attending my college and planning to start an internship with a financial research firm
At college I actively participant in finance club, I have helped members of my club organize educational seminars. As my career grow, aim is to educate rural areas about finance and investing as this will help them grow in long run and improve their living while also avoiding common frauds that targets uneducated individuals.
Receiving this scholarship would remove single greatest barrier and also help me stay on track with my career goals. I am fully committed to using this opportunity ethically and responsibly.
